--Students will watch the DVD "Digital Sports Photography Made Simple" to learn some techniques which will help them shoot their current action photo assignment, which is due on Oct. 8.
--Students will load their walk photos into the computer, creating a folder and a proof sheet. After turning in the proof sheet, they will choose their best walk photo, edit it in Photoshop, then turn that best photo in for printing and grading.
--Students will go on a photo-shooting "walk.," leaving school, going to the bridge, then proceeding to the dog walk park across from Snoqualmie Elementary School, before returning to class. This is one of their three upcoming photo assignments.
-- Students will learn about some basic composition elements used in photography by watching a 30-minute video and answering a worksheet.
--Three new photo shoots will be discussed: action, "walk" and lines/pattern/or texture. Examples will be shown and a handout will be distributed describing shooting hints and deadlines.
--Students will continue to edit and turn in their best 35-object photo. Also, if the 35-object proof sheet or Photoshop editing test are not completed, they should be turned in today. --The first Looking, Writing and Seeing assignment will be discussed. Examples from previous years will be read. This assignment will be due next Thursday.
--Students will finish editing their single best 35-object photo and turn it in for printing.
--35-object photos are due today. Students will load photos in class, make a proof sheet, then turn it in. Once done, students can start deciding which photo is their best one to edit and turn in tomorrow.
Digital workflow editing exam -- Students will open a folder of photos, make changes with Photoshop or the camera raw settings, then turn them in to be graded.
