Summer homework: shoot some nice photos(Mon. - period 4, Tues. periods 5-6) - Last day underclassmen will meet in classes. which will be devoted to watching still-photo movie projects or doing last-minute completion of the movie.Loose graded photos will also be returned.

(Mon. - Thurs.) Last full week of school. students (groups) will continue to work on still-photo movie projects due Thursday. Individual students will also work on some other recent assignments, especially on their resumes and panoramas.
"I will help to make sure my (or my group's) still-photo movie is completed. Also, if needed, I will complete my resume and Photoshop panorama assignments." (Fri.. - periods 1-2 only) - Last day underclassmen will meet in period 1 and 2 classes. which will be devoted to watching still-photo movie projects or doing last-minute completion of the movie.Seniors graduate tonight. "I will watch my classmates' still-photo movie projects and also make sure mine (or your group's) projects are turned in for grading." Shooting final on may 30
(Mon.) - Step by step, students will follow along to create a practice movie using Windows Movie Maker software.
"I will create a practice still-photo movie by adding titles, photos, audio, transitions and visual effects." (Tues.) - Students will begin working on their resume assignment (a CTE Department requirement). A template will be given, but students may also use their own format..(Note: seniors are exempted from this assignment because they already turned in a resume while doing their required occupation speeches). "I will include at least one work experience in completing my resume. I understand all information must be factual." (Wed.) - In pairs, students will shoot their shooting final, using an apple or orange and LED light. Students will turn in their best photo to the shared Google Drive folder. When not shooting, students will work on their still-photo movies. "I will complete my shooting portion of the final by shooting an apple (or orange) with shallow depth of field, have the LED light cast a dramatic shadow and place the apple in my frame by using the rule of thirds." (Thurs.) - Students will receive a printed print of the shooting final taken yesterday. Using a given form, students will write and reflect about yesterday's shoot.They will attach the writing to their photo and turn it in for grading. "In writing, I will answer the required questions regarding why and how I shot the shooting final (rule of thirds, shallow depth of field, distinctive shadow)." (Fri.) - "Last Blast" - Few classes will meet because of yearbook distribution, school festivities, etc.
(Monday - periods 1-2, Tuesday -periods 4-5-6) - Students will work on their storyboards for the still-photo movie project. "I will help my movie group begin to plan our still-photo movie project by either drawing or giving ideas on the storyboard for possible photos related to the lyrics. This storyboard will be used as a "shot list" for our movie." (Wednesday - periods 1-2, Thursday -periods 4-5-6) - In pairs, students will practice for their shooting finals, using a DSLR, a fruit, LED light and a simple white background. When not shooting, students can work on their story boards for the still-photo movie project. "I will practice for my future shooting final by shooting an apple with shallow depth of field, a dramatic shadow and placing the apple in my frame using the rule of thirds." (Friday) - No school because of extra day not used for snow, etc.
(Mon.) - Last day for students to present their Famous Photographer PowerPoint Speech. Also, Mrs. Ransavage will also be coming into class for half the period to help students sign up for Tech Prep, getting college credit for Photo I. "I will demonstrate my speech and communication abilities by presenting a 3-minute famous photographer speech to the class, having good eye contact and volume of voice. I will also be a good audience member when listening to my classmates' speeches." (Tues.) - Students will watch the Discovery Channel DVD, "Unsolved History: JFK, Death in Dealey Plaza," which features the photos and movies shot on Nov. 22, 1963 in Dallas. "I will understand more about one of the most historical days in American history by watching an investigation of the photos and movies shot at the JFK assassination." (Wed.) - Students will begin planning for their still-photo movie project. Students will receive and review the criteria/rubric for the project. "I will begin planning for the still-photo movie project by getting in a group (unless I'm doing the movie alone) and discuss which song might be used for the movie. (Thur. - Fri.) - After discussing and receiving an example of one, movie groups will work on a 30-panel storyboard. While students are working on the storyboards, the graded best action and architecture photos will be returned. Lyrics (per group) for the still-photo movies are due today. "I will help my movie group begin to plan our still-photo movie project by either drawing or giving ideas on the storyboard for possible photos related to the lyrics. This storyboard will be used as a "shot list" for our movie."
